Just Dropped Off Some New Work
In which I show you the brand new paintings now available in Park City and Durango
Summer is in full swing now here up at the cabin and while I miss the desert, it’s good to be home. I’ve got my garden at 8600 feet starting and fingers crossed I might get some veggies - I’m not a good gardener and doing so at high elevation doesn’t lend towards success, but it’s good to sink my fingers into the earth if nothing else.
I also just completed a small body of paintings that I brought into Gallery MAR in Park City. Those, coupled with the four cold wax and oil studies I sent to Diane West Art in Durango, make up an even 14 new paintings that are now available.
Besides that, we are biking, hiking, and working on our respective projects. Matt is building out our new van and I always have too many side projects to accomplish as there are far too many ideas in my head to not try. There’s no grand story for this week’s update. Just images of new paintings.

June 14th was Flag Day
On Saturday, I attended a Flag Day celebration put on by my Elks Lodge here in Park City and was delighted to part of a small, but highly patriotic event. The day before, Friday, I wanted to hate everyone, but by Saturday I was reminded of how much good there is out in the world if we are open to it. The news as of late has been terrible, scary, horrifying, and maddening. Each day brings it’s own new fresh horrors, but when I focus locally, all of that bad is brought into some sense of relief. People do care.
It is so very hard to be a human - the work, family, friends, global and local issues, money, security, just ensuring everyone eats, and takes care of their bodies - it’s a lot. And I want to acknowledge that you reading this newsletter is just one more thing you have spent time on in your day. So thank you for taking the time to support me as an artist. It’s certainly not the most important thing you could do today, but I hope that you feel as I do, that art (in all its forms) is vital for living as a human on this planet.
As always, thanks for your support.

Love the art and the rainbow photo must be a good omen!
There’s so much light in the world we never see. Trusting it’s there though gives me both hope and a little peace.
