Welcome to Here for the Rainbows with Bridgette Meinhold
Join me as I explore the intersection of art and nature, as I work in my studio on encaustics, cold wax, watercolor and mess around with other experimental projects. We’re all just figuring it out as we go anyhow, and I’ll try and show you how I’m doing it.
Why is this called “Here for the Rainbows” - well that’s a long story involving light, optics, the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, and rainbows, but the gist of it is - rainbows are incredible, magical phenomena that induce Awe, and I use them as a metaphorical stand in for the things that light me up. I’m out here looking for and making my own metaphorical rainbows everywhere I go. I’m on the hunt for beauty, magic, art, and deeper connections with our natural world
