What the Heck is Cold Wax Medium?!

In which I explain what the heck cold wax is and what I'm doing with it.

Numbers 1-4 of this little experiment

Two weeks ago, I told you about a little experiment I was doing - making 100 cold wax paintings.¹ I’m known for this sort of self-flagellation. I’ve done a number of 100 day projects². In fact when I came up with the idea to do it, I texted Matt from the studio: “I might have just started another 100 day project” with the above picture. He walked outside from the cabin and came inside and just gave me a look.

“What?” I asked.

“You told me to tell you not to let you do another one of these. So I’m here to tell you no,” he said incredulously.

“Oh it’ll be fine!” I said and waved my hand at me. “It’ll be good for me.”

As you can imagine, he left unconvinced, and likely looks forward to the day he can say to me, “See. I told you not to.”

But onward! I have things to learn, ideas to try out, and feelings to express!!
